quotes What price the consumer is willing to pay???? There is a reason Wiley X and Oakley are the only 2 used glasses makers overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan. Show me another brand that can take a piece of schraptnel or a 12g shotgun rounds to the lenses and I'm all ears. A few people I know still have their eyes, as well as sight after having an IED throw chunks of metal into their lenses. But I'm sure everyone would trust other brands. And yea, the avg biker won't see a 12g shotgun shot at them, but, they might land face first in a rock garden, thus the glasses saving their sight. Take it for what you want... there is a reason militaries around the world use Oaks... and I'm sure it's not for the glamour. In fact, the additional cost would make it a def no go if they didn't perform better than almost all others in terms of safety. IE why would a government by glamour items when it could buy much cheaper.

quotes LOL using some online linage ordeal. That's pretty low. I'm sure algorithms on those sites are 100% tried and true.

quotes Uhhh, the video made it seemed as this worked with the front der, and so does the article. Not sure how a chainguide that actuates from the bottom first is going to switch gears....

quotes It doesn't shift. It's meant to be used with a front der.

quotes Mountain, I suggest you email Oak about it. They will quickly make things right for you, and also fix the issue at the storefront level. It's hard for a company like Oakley to manage the zillions of shops they have selling their products. All it takes is one email or phone call and it will be fixed for you, probably along with an apology, and most likely a thank you for bringing it to their attention.

quotes Everything but Oakleys give me migraines when wearing for long periods. Nuff said. I have probably a dozen set of Spy glasses, a few Scott glasses, a pair of raybans and they all don't get close to my Oaks. I'll never buy anything else. NTM... lifetime warrenty on frames... can't beat that.

quotes Idler gears, with the canfield are epically well done. BUT, on many others, they are not. Notorious leg eating pant sucking devices. Both Zerode and Lahar have done it right (Think Sunn was the same way) with keeping the chain suck ordeal far far away by keeping the chain enclosed btw the legs.

quotes Heck, all the Pull Shock Yeti and Schwinn and GT DH bikes still ride like champs also! Pull shocks are awsome!

quotes I think he was talking to me. What does this matter? This isn't a gearbox type design like the Zerode or Lahar. I have over 2 dozen companies that have used the high pivot frame in my fav list. Lahar to my information is the ONLY other company to use a geared hub in their frame design. Inform me if I'm not correct. And being you saw my page NoSkidMarks you would have seen my POD. Sunn, Canfield and a slew of other top makers, and even more underground makers have done this same design of high pivot (many like the Lahar, but many different linkage wise). I was solely talking about the geared hub ordeal. Basically with Lahar never going to be around again as Aaron has vanished for reasons I won't say, Zerode took off with the idea (and what a great one it is) and hopefully will truly do something with it. I'm a major Zerode fan in every way, because they took something so wonderful, improved upon the design by hiding the linkage, and are hopefully going to stick around. Either way. Zerode and Lahar don't compare to anything I know about to date bar none. None of the idler pulley arm high pivot frames get close, minus the Canfield... which in it's self is a sheer beast. In the end it's about progression, and Rearward suspension has been and is the pinnacle of suspension design to date. Everyone fears designing bikes with it because of chain growth etc, but, some companies are finding ways around it (mostly with idler pulleys high up) but, even better with geared hubs in the frame. Just wait until we see micro gear boxes and no more geared hubs. I'll put my money on Zerode pioneering that tech.

quotes Run a bigger front gear. Issue solved. =] "• Each model of frame is equipped with its own adjustable shock absorbers, totally produced from billet in 7075, totally designed and built by Ancillotti,(The sole producer on the market that produces not only the frame but also its personal shock absorber) purposely designed, built and sized for the particular type of frame and of course in perfect harmony with the PULL SHOCK system " Sole producer? Definitely not. I think this company needs to do a bit of research as Risse has been doing this since the very early 2k's with their Lassen DH bike. On top of that, Risse also makes their own forks. So basically they are still 1 upping Ancillotti in the game of making all their own stuff suspension wise (sure Risse won't compare performance wise... but that's not the ordeal with this claim of Ancillotti) Maybe someone should message Ancillotti and tell them to change their description of their frame. Also, Foes is pretty much 1:1 with curnett shocks, thus making them not the sole producer. I don't think too highly of a company saying they are the only one to do something... when other companies have been doing it for years longer, and still do it today.

quotes With how much rotational force the bike had when it hit him, and also how far the bike traveled after he fell... it's nothing about a Kona. If someone can break 20+ bricks with their hand, a 1x1 ft ice block, or shear 2 pro baseball bats taped together with a shin kick, don't underestimate how hard the human body really is. I've seen people try to break 20 bricks with an axe, and it couldn't be done, but, with someones fist it can. Sometimes body parts are stronger than steel. It's all about focus, and prepardness.

quotes BTW, having a co2 cannister on a bike... is asking for someone to die. This isn't LPA like the Shimano Airlines... you are strapping something to a bike that literally can kill a rider, or a spectator with ease. Probably the stupidest idea ever. Take it from people who have been working with co2 tanks and LP Regulators for years. You might as well put some old school nitroglycerin on your downtube and ride it.
